Challenge: The owner of a hair and beauty salon came to me requesting an art deco look for her logo. She wanted to let people know along with the usual hair cut and styling she also offers a full line of make-up and fancy hairdos for weddings or similar events.
Solution: After researching various art deco styles involving hair, a light, airy design was chosen. To add to the message of "hair", made up lips and a stylized eye finished the face. To complete the look a script font flowed out from the hair with the name of the salon. This logo has been used in store menus, promotional items and newspaper advertisements. The shop's owner continues to get compliments on the original logo design.
